Business Models of Mobile Operators for WLAN: Case Examples

The WLAN are coming more and more significant factor in telecommunications business. The success of WLAN hotspot networks is increasing and the new GAN/UMA solution is being launched. It is very crucial time in WLAN business and especially for mobile operators. The question is, how they are going to gain from WLAN in most competent way. In this paper is first analyzed some WLAN solutions in their technical aspect. Other part of the paper focuses on different kinds of WLAN services and case examples existing in markets today.
